Perfection is Overrated!
"I realized that I don't have to be perfect. All I have to do is show up and enjoy the messy, imperfect and beautiful journey of my life." - Kerry Washington, American Actress
You do not have to be perfect. All you have to be is consistent. All you have to do is have faith in God and yourself to be able to persevere. All you have to be is open to the possibilities that come from following God's voice. My dear, you do not have to be perfect.
That's self-love. That's self-care.
You caring about yourself enough to not limit yourself or your thinking constitutes as self-love and self-care. We should all practice pushing ourselves outside of what we are comfortable with even when fear becomes present. The habit of finding the inner strength to show up and tackle the tasks at hand teaches us that the skill set that we've been looking for has always been within ourselves. Being open to what God has for you by being okay with being you.
The you that you are and the one you're becoming will be imperfect. Maturity is only met when we have fumbled and failed more times than we can count. Mistakes are the marker that we have learned new information or need to learn new information in order to utilize our full potential. Friend, I encourage you to let yourself be to give way for the work of the Holy Spirit.
Love you much,
